Fans of women’s bodybuilding were given frustrating news. The Tampa pro announced women’s bodybuilding will not be part of the 2025 contest. Athletes preparing for the Tampa pro are more vexed by this change. Making this announcement on such short notice was unprofessional. Fans were looking forward to seeing Kristina Nicole Mendoza defend her crown. Mendoza won both the 2023 and 2024 Tampa pro contests. Athletes still can compete in the Atlanta pro and the Chicago pro this year. The trust Tim Gardner Productions remains dubious. Other shows could be in danger. Which means limited contests to qualify for the Ms. Olympia. The amount of women’s bodybuilding competitors on stage will be reduced. The hope is that women’s bodybuilding will return for the 2026 season.
