Britt Miller has returned to fitness. Now married, Britt goes by the name Britt Austin. Prior to this she was a nurse. Britt Austin is now a personal coach. Britt Austin Fitness offers fitness nutrition advice and personal training guidelines. Women’s bodybuilding fans remember her from the 2000s. New faces were emerging in the sport. Britt made her way on to the stage in 1999. Britt continued to compete through the decade. Fans become nostalgic of the period between 2000 to 2009. During that time Britt would regularly post on blogger. Britt Miller’s blog still remains up, but has not been updated since 2012. The last entry was Britt discussing entering a figure competition. That was not the first time she competed in the figure class. The first time she did this was in 2003. Figure was a new class during the early 2000s. To a degree, it was just lightweight bodybuilding. This was way Britt Miller could easily switch between the two. Most of Britt’s career was competing as a lightweight bodybuilder.

Britt Miller did not get her pro card, but was notable among fans. She would appear in photo shoots and videos for Herbiceps. Britt’s pictures would also be on hardfitness.com and Muscular Development. Some fans thought she was going to reach the Ms. Olympia stage. A decade of competing just was not as fun anymore. She explained in 2009 :

“Bodybuilding has been my love, my life, and honestly my sanctuary for the past 11 years when I first competed at the age of 14.  I dedicated my entire adolescence through my current age of 25 to eating, breathing, sleeping, and living bodybuilding.  The drive and determination that I held was relentless and could scare almost any demon away, or for that matter attract them.  I feel like I was so consumed by this force that it made me oblivious to the reality of life.  I had a dream that began when I was only 14 years old and that dream was to turn professional in women’s bodybuilding.  As time passed, each year competing and placing no less than 3rd, I was becoming closer and closer to achieving my dream.  Receiving sponsorships and working with amazing photographers for articles and layouts in the most popular bodybuilding and fitness magazines was a dream come true.  The odd thing is when it actually became my time in 2008, having my professional card in clear sight, the passion and desire to ruin my body had finally began to wither away.”

Burn out is common among anyone who has done an activity for a long period of time. A total of 11 years were spent competing. Very few people have the dedication or patience to have a long term goal. Britt was an teen athlete entering her first competition at age 14. Most teenage girls are not interested in pursuing a sport . Bodybuilding is not as popular among teens. Compared to soccer, football, or wrestling more students are active in these sports. Britt Miller between 2009 and 2011 was absent from stage. Then to some fans shock, Britt was competing in figure. Her 2009 blog post did say that it was not like she would never compete again. A hiatus is better description of this period for Britt.

The retirement from competition became official after 2012. Goals do change in life and Britt’s focus did as well. Fans do miss seeing her on stage and in on websites. An athlete does not require a bunch of medals to be liked. Britt Austin did what most retired athletes do and began to do coaching. BA Fitness would launch in the 2020s. It almost seemed as if Britt disappeared. Yet, she remerged with a new purpose. Helping clients reach their fitness goals brings Britt joy. BA Fitness is new and growing. BA Fitness Instagram has a total of 1,265 followers. Some might be new to Britt Austin and other remember the Britt Miller gracing bodybuilding stages.
